My style is warm, empathic, and adaptive
Individuals and couples often come into my office because they are stuck in a pattern that feels misaligned with who they are. This disconnection might stem from relationship conflict, stress, anxiety, trauma, or another presenting concern. I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples in working through these barriers to create values-aligned and meaningful change.
Scientific approach paired with creative process
I emphasize the importance of collaborative, client-centered care to support the change process. Though my work is guided by evidence-based intervention, I highly value the importance of welcoming creativity and flexibility in the therapeutic space.
Evidence-Based Treatments
In my work with individuals, I use principles and interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and exposure-based interventions, including prolonged exposure (PE) and exposure and response prevention (ERP), to support individuals who are navigating challenges related to sexual health concerns, identity development and esteem, sleep issues, and anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders. In my work with couples, I use integrative behavioral couple therapy (IBCT) and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to help couples improve communication, build connection, and develop greater intimacy.
INTERSECTIONALITY
I have had the good fortune to support individuals and couples with diverse identities and backgrounds and work closely with folx from the LGBTQIA+ community. Intersectionality is at the core of how I understand the therapeutic process and I am passionate about creating a safe environment from which clients work toward growth and healing.
